About Maura
I create musical learning experiences for children and adults that foster self-love, autonomy, and self-expression. My classes support body and mind integration alongside spiritual and technical growth.
Similarly, when playing live violin in concert, I create music grounded in the heart that channels listeners’ emotions. I activate, open, and cleanse audience energy while performing, recharging the nervous system using the powerful vibrations of the violin.
My holistic studies in Vinyasa yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, and transcultural shamanism merge into a unique therapeutic personal development practice in my teaching and performances.
Alongside diplomas from the U.S. and France, I hold a Master's in Violin Performance from Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and often perform in the Sagrada Familia with the Camerata International de Barcelona.
-
Growth Mindset
Students feel safe to receive constructive feedback and to learn from mistakes. Classes and concerts are filled with opportunities for self-reflection and sharing.
-
Well-being
We develop a healthy, positive relationship to practice and performance by cultivating self-compassion, patience, and self-esteem throughout the learning process.
-
Autonomy
Students choose their own repertoire, and are agents in technical problem-solving and at-home practice. Process oriented approach where violinists are encouraged to make expressive musical decisions from the first lesson.
-
Adapted Live Concerts
Performances with original music curated especially for your event. In concert, enjoy lush improvised live violin over invigorating beats. Using a loop pedal and amplifier, I create low-tone drones and sweeping melodies.
